flow-tools software package provides collects and processes NetFlow data, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install flow-tools
flow-tools is installed in your system.
Make ensure the flow-tools package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep flow-tools *
You will get with flow-tools package name, version, architecture and description in a table
